History & Mission
History
Fairwood Bible Institute is a part of The Kingdom Christian Ministries. At the dedication of its first building, in 1897, the purpose of the school was declared to be two-fold: “The preparation of the Bride for the Bridegroom, and the fitting of warriors for the speedy evangelization of this globe.” This emphasis on holy living, powerful prayer, and evangelism is unchanged today despite the fact that the school has gone through several transitions and locations since 1897. Its current location in Dublin, New Hampshire was purchased in 1950 and has been designated as a house of worship and prayer. Typified by the White, the Blue, and the Gold, the colors of the school, it is also exemplified by a high standard of behavior based on unqualified loyalty to the Bible as God’s Word.
Mission of the School
More specifically, students are offered the opportunity to:
- Develop a personal relationship with, and accountability to, the Lord Jesus Christ, leading to the knowledge of God.
- Gain a thorough knowledge of the Bible, together with an application of its principles to daily life, leading to the development of Christian character.
- Experience the joy of leading others to Jesus Christ, and go on to teach them further in the knowledge of God.
- Learn practical skills that make a person more able in everyday life.
Statement of Faith
We believe that the whole Bible is the inspired word of God and that it was given for the sake of revealing to us the character of the Father, His will, and His purpose for His creation. We believe that there is one God and that He exists in three Persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that all men are by nature sinners, destitute of all power to save themselves. We believe, therefore, that the only means of salvation of sinful men is the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit on the basis of the atoning work of Christ through personal faith in Him.
We believe in the Holy Spirit’s personality and deity, and that He was sent forth from the Father to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. We believe that He is come to regenerate, indwell, sanctify, instruct, and comfort the saints.
We believe that Jesus Christ was and is the eternal and only begotten Son of the Father; that His earthly existence began when He was supernaturally conceived in the womb of the Virgin Mary and born a babe in Bethlehem of Judea; that He took the form of man for the express purpose of offering His body as a sacrifice for the human race.
We believe that He lived a sinless life while on earth, though subject to the same temptations that we meet.
We believe that when He died, He was accepted by the Father as an offering for the sins of all men, that He rose from the dead in three days, and that this resurrection is the fact that established the justification of a believer in the eyes of our Holy God.
We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to this earth in power and glory and that His return is imminent.
